clarification

(Just a niggling point: "The Capital" is by Auden "Temporary Work Song" 
is by me in imitation of Auden.  I say this because I may have been too 
absorbed in my praise of Auden when I posted, thus the ambiguity of 
author attribution, and I wouldn't want to attribute to Auden what I 
wrote.) 

If it was clear that I wrote it, ignore and delete this!
