I more or less agree with Doug's response to my post, and I also agree
that his response is different from what I called the godena-adolfo
thesis.

I also think that as "the left" in some coherent sense becomes a reality
(as opposed to a random collection of individual leftists & grouplets),
we do need to think seriously about how a whole spectrum of different
economic conditions can/shold/might/etc effect our work.
