I'm at the musing stage on this, but do academic temps, (i.e, grad assistants?) count? My union, the GAU (grad Asst United) is currently affiliated with the UFF (United Faculty of FL) and the NEA but we're unhappy with them. I think we have conflicts of interst with the UFF--if we bring up a grievance, it's likely going to be against a UFF member, and NRA doesn't have Grad. Asst rep. So I'm supposed to be looking into alternatives.
Any thoughts on this?
