It seems to me that having a Worldwide Tax on primary financial transactiona
to finance something like the World Bank to provide Venture Capital is
not a Revolutionary Proposal but would be feasible in a different sort
of social democratic Capitalist World. Such proposal if it got press which
again doesn't
seem impossible but unlikely even if it didn't succeed would have definite
educational
value which seems to me part of a reasonable strategy. In any event on a more
positivistic note,
the critierian proposed by Carol for considering seriously a reform seem to be
unverifiable in
any serious way in the absense of a socialist revolution whose prospects at
present don't seem very high.
This being said I'd like to know that the list knows about world wide Labor
Collaboration
and support for striking workers in Korea and the rest of the third world. If
this is not being done, who is taking action, how and how would you suggest
this be accomplished.
