There is an ....ummmmmm ... semi-interesting thread going on over at slashdot.org on the topic of Open Source and Capitalism.
Submitted to the site at 8:55 EDT this am, the seed article has already generated 72 comments, a handful look like they are worth reading (after work, that is), though i havent seen any of the more visible open-source authors chime in yet.
much discussion on GPL (GNU Public License), intellectual property rights, cooperation vs. competition, etc.
i'd say the flavor is mainly philosophical at this point, as there are no concrete Open Source decisions pending the outcome of this discussion, but still worth a glance:
