SINGAPORE: The US Embassy in Singapore received a telephoned bomb threat Wednesday morning, a spokeswoman said. No bomb was found and the embassy resumed operations in an hour. The spokeswoman, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the threat was received by the embassy switchboard operator just after 11am. "After assuring the safety of the public, the embassy took appropriate steps in accordance with worldwide procedures to also assure the safety of its personnel and property,'' she said. Another spokesman said on condition of anonymity that no bomb was found.
