I hope someone around here has the stamina to take you by the hand and explain just what you are missing. I don't. You are missing History. You are missing the Law of Unequal and Combined Development (you never heard of that, Henry, did you, silly boy), you are missing the US Balance of Payments, you are missing dollar seignorage which, Hey! Brenner/Cockburn have latched onto so now all the groupies round here will start parrotting, you are missing this: the 172 military interventions and 3042 assassinations of political leaders which your govt did even before zapping a Sudanese antibiotic factory, this century -- and they didn;t do that for 5%. You are missing, in short, fucking everything.
