According to Perry Anderson's book (Considerations of Western Marxism), most of those fellows, with the exception of Gramsci, came from bourgeois families. So is there bourgeois class bias in the works of Althusser, or the Frankfurters, or Sartre, or Lukacs? And how exactly does Western Marxism serve the "particular and historical needs" of the bourgeois?
