I to am interested in any info on US welfare reform. This particular blight
has spread to NZ with major changes to our welfare system being 'inspired'
by the Wisconsin model, ie the dole is replaced with a 'community wage' ,
increased work tests for sickness beneficaries and solo parents and the
introduction of a workfare system.
The link with the US is very overt with Jean Rogers being bought out here
to speak at a conference (Beyond Dependency) sponsored by EDS amongst
others.
