>> manholes (their universal title) are filthy and dangerous. no one really enjoys opening them or working in them -- male or female. the enjoyment for myself was in the physical results, not the job itself. very few men (this particular area boasts less than 3% women) stay in the manholes for more than 5-7 years before transferring to other areas of the company, but there were guys i met out there doing the same thing for 30 years. maggie coleman mscoleman at aol.com
