New Party

The New Party has some life in Wisconsin, where it has at least two local
groups and ballot status as the "New Progressive Party". So far as I can
tell from 2,000 miles away, the Milwaukee organization is mired in
collaboration with local Democrats, but managed (I think) to get a local
"living wage" ordinance passed. Several local labor leaders are members, and
there is some overlap with the Labor Party.

The Madison group comes out of the old Labor and Farm Party and is much more
independent. Some key people in this group are members of Solidarity, so
maybe S. members on this list can tell us more.
