Yeah, governments would love it if cash would die. But it never will. "Law enforcement enabling" techs won't mean doodley-squat. Those who need to use it will. 500 euro notes are indeed a lot easier to carry than five $100 notes, or so, especially when the amounts involved get large, very large.
