An international conference? Of course, this body will not only be in charge of planning transportation usage, but all economic investment decisions. This is what we call socialism. In a previous lifetime, James Heartfield understood the need for collective decision-making. Now that he has become a libertarian, this prospect frightens and angers him.
>In the second world war, so my father tells me, they used to say 'Is
>your journey really necessary?'
Great Britain was at war with fascism and on a war-footing needless to say. In Cuba, rationing is much more widespread and absolutely essential for the survival of society. The reason automobile usage would be strictly rationed under socialism is not because we couldn't afford to produce a car for every soul on the planet. Rather, rationing would be in force to protect the environment.
