i would love it if his chances were better, but i think it's unlikely he will even get the nomination.
i was really amazed to hear him on the radio last summer supporting a bill that would effectively limit the compensation of executives to 25 times the lowest paid employee (ben&jerry's?).
even if he doesn't get the nomination, a strong campaign could elevate some ideas like this to a broader audience.
