Not Clinton though. The White House is holding practically daily welfare-to-work heroism events. There is much cheering that the 10,000 or so ex-welfare recipients who've been hired by Big Biz in Big Bill's PR scheme report excellent retention ratios - though, officialdom concedes, they're getting extra-special dollops of free child care. If unemployment were to edge up to 7% again, then the snarling biologism would return.
