Microsoft's fear of free software

Not being a techie, I've been slow on the uptake re the mortal threat
LINUX and other free, open-source software that can created and
distributed via the Web present Microsoft.  The link below shows a memo
written by Microsoft engineer Vinod Valloppillil re this.  (I apologize
if this has already been posted here and I simply missed it).
