(Final post from Navasky, which I will not respond to, since I've said all I have to say. Last night at a book party for Tariq Ali, I was talking to somebody who has written for the Nation over the years and is fed up with the magazine, especially with Alterman. I told her that I will be floating the idea of a web-based magazine that incorporates some of my ideas about a new Marxist approach. Frankly, I find the writing that shows up on many Internet mailing lists more interesting than what I see in the Nation.)

I suspect our definition of radical may differ. Of course Christopher H is a Marxist, anyway, I like your list -- the first five names on which havxe written for The Nation, most recently Buhle and Dan G. Also, I agree, that Scott is a brilliant talent. . . Anyway, so be it. Good luck in your readings elsewhere and if you come across anything (or anyone) you think I ought to know about, by all means be in touch.
