Yes and so am I. For reasons akin to Louis. My publisher has sent the Nation a copy of my book yet it has not given the book a review. To my knowlege it is the only book that deals with the commodification of disability, the political economy and disability, and compulsory unemployment, the surplus population, i.e., Marxist analysis. I've been reviewed in Z Magazine and the Columbus Free Press (an d of course disability pubs), what ever people may think of these publications, they understood the significance of the book...yet the Nation has ignored it.

Instead, the last piece written about disability was in the most recent issue. It is about a disabled man's anger which is a favorite topic amongst psyshologists about disability...aren't we all angry people who just cant adjust?? The article mentions the word political but as far as I can see there is no political analysis here at all, it is literary emoting about personal loss. It is a whining piece. I could not even read the whole thing, it was so sickening.

Why do you think they would choose to run something like that when they have a political analysis in their hands to evaluate????
