Yesterday Doug H. posted a WSJ article about Japanese backed debt restructuring in East Asia. This was also hinted at by Stiglitz in his talk. He made several rather pointed references to Japan as a major surplus country that needed to bear costs of the adjustments. Barkley Rosser
