Very interesting post. I have great respect for Morris and what he advocated. Apart from the raw anguish caused by exploitation, the sheer everyday ugliness capitalism produces in wringing the creativity out of labor and turning workers and products into commodities is depressing. Pretty depressing, too, that Morris's high ideals weren't carried forward by a better standard-bearer than Wright.
