First off, this is the sickest thing I've seen an administration do, though I'll have to say that I've seen some pretty disgusting attempts to annihilate academic freedom. (Always a laugh riot since, historically, appeals to academic freedom have been used to protect professor's rights to sexually harass their students). Since I sent this on to other lists where we've discussed violations of academic freedom, I'm likely to be asked more questions about the circumstances of the case. Given that Clark College likely consulted legal staff before they made this request, I was wondering if you know what grounds these admin dopes have to make such a request. I can't even imagine that they can make such a request and have grounds to stand on, and it must be pretty warped if they do. Also is there any other published info. about this case?
