G'day all,

I'm with you on this one, Chris!

To the degree this gratifying turn of events is a dangerous precedent for ALL national leaders who are on the wrong side of the powers-that-be, it is also a precedent that makes it a little more dangerous for the plethora of right bastards that currently infest the palaces of this world. Sure, it ain't of account to the biggest bastards of all, but perhaps the little bastards might henceforth be a little more circumspect in doing the bidding of said (now demonstrably capricious) big bastards ...

The old bastard is gonna have a bad time; a lot of Chileans (and not a few others) are gonna feel recognised, vindicated and avenged; and he might yet feel moved to spill his evil guts on the interesting topic of US involvement ...

All to the good, I reckon.

Cheers, Rob.
