How can someone so erudite say something so dumb? Of course, non of us are breatharians -- a sect that claims to get sufficient nourishment from the air. Sure we "exploit" nature, but the question is, does capitalism do it rationally?

What animal fouls its own nest? We wantonly pollute when other strategies could limit the pollution. What is rational about capitalism? We do an excellent job of "engineering" -- say running a chemical factory as a form of micro-management from the standpoint of making profits. So what. The system stinks and is poisoning us besides.
