Did you read the soap opera report of the backroom goings on over LTCM in the
Times? I almost cried for these poor dullards. Imagine, with just a simple
twist of fate, the terrible hand of time turned a loose screw and out fell
Merry weather and his band of No Bell Laurie 8s. Was this an atemmpt at new
journalism, or is the Times always this soppy-eyed and tearful over the demise
of the rich and odious?
