This is the same mistake that Lynn makes, but from a reverse angle. The New Deal was qualitatively different from Hitler's state. It represented significant concessions to the working class, including the legal right to form unions. Such unions were the main guarantee that the workers would not end up like their German brothers and sisters. They could exercise the most powerful weapon working people have, their right to withhold their labor.
