Wake UP! Where have you been for the past 8 years as the Supreme Court has DECIMATED the Voting Rights Act, taking particular dead aim on North Carolina, where NO black was elected from 1901 to 1992?

Oh, THAT'S where you've been! <BFG>

I sure do miss the cheese puffs at Fat Apple!

Well, those who live in the real world (including Berkeley, BTW) may want to check out my article "One Hundred Years After Plessy vs. Ferguson, Is It 'Deja Vu All Over Again'?" at http://home1.gte.net/rad/opeds/robes.htm, which goes into the issue in more depth than I'd care to inflict on the list.

It's my opinion that First Past The Post is unconstitutional -- a violation of the 14th Amendment. In fact, I'm seriously considering looking for a lawyer to take up the case. If you don't understand why I would say this, then you don't yet understand what the issues are. You don't have to agree with me. You just have to understand the issues. Then if you still disagree, so be it.
