Oh, if I had disposable income, which I don't, and wanted to play the markets, which I wouldn't, I'd stash that dough in the Japanese keiretsu (the Mitsui, Mitsubishi, Fuyo, Daiichi Kangyo, and Sumitomo groups). Why? Because the Nikkei has gone as low as the Government will allow it to go, and a $570 billion bank bailout is in the works, plus $30 billion for Southeast Asia, plus some sort of emergency stimulus package. Plus, you get the currency appreciation thing going for you. Ah, the (lucrative) joys of bailout capitalism!
