The main threat to the Jews today is the capitalist system in its decay, just as it was in the 1930s. The United States is pushing the former Soviet Union to more and more desperate conditions. It is out of these conditions that a new fascist movement will emerge, as the post on Russian Swastikas indicates.

Your problem is that you are wedded to the capitalist system just as mainstream Jewish liberalism has always been. When the capitalist system throws up the dregs, you find ways to patch up the system and keep it going.

I am not worried about black anti-semitism. There has not been a single act of black violence directed against Jews except for the Yankel Rosenbaum tragedy in Crown Heights several years ago. When people like Farrakhan and Muhammed make antisemitic remarks, they are bidding for acceptance by the white power structure just as Comanche Indians did in the 1800s when they kept black slaves.

Capitalism will always find ways to keep the subaltern under its spell. My goal has always been to find a way to break through the prejudices of the subaltern and unite it against its enemy in Washington and Wall Street. You, on the other hand, are working day and night to make sure that the subaltern continues to believe in the system.
