coalbed methane

Coalbed methane is currently about 5-8% of US
production and consumption.  I don't know what it could
go up to in the presence of rather modest (signficiant
but not enough to end capitalism) price hikes on
natural gas.  There's shitloads of the stuff elsewhere.
