Split Up of the Soviet Union

Is there any good modern history with class analysis like Hobsbawm,
Hill,
Barrington Moore, etc. of the Breakup of the Former Soviet Union and
what has occurred in the
individual states.  Prior to the breakup in the USSR very few people in
the
mainstream saw this has a possiblity at least in the United States left
and
right wing combined.  The only accounts I have seen were extremely
superficial.
Can you people recommend better.
