This is ridiculous. There is no such thing as "neo-liberalism." You must be referring to capitalism. When capitalist regimes, such as Hong Kong's or Malaysia's, institute protectionist measures, this has nothing to do with the socialist agenda. What Marxists support is militant trade-union actions such as the kind that the heroic South Korean workers are carrying out. I have no idea why Burford has so much trouble seeing things in class terms. Well maybe he sees things in class terms, but has misplaced loyalties.
