Well, your basic point is well taken. However, strictly speaking, just as 
there is no such thing as an "objective analysis," there is no such thing 
as "neutral technology." Technology is developed under specific 
historical and environmental circumstance by human beings with human 
limitations for human purposes, not by or for ants. Also, "accountable 
power" can also use technology in an ecologically deleterious 
manner--though humility and a healthy scientific imagination can go a 
long way toward ensuring that this does not happen.
