<p>You can't say the Chinese aren't serious about protecting their local
industries from foreign competition.
<p>A news article this week reported that a computer executive and an office
worker had been arrested and convicted for sneaking foreign-made computers,
pagers and other electronic goods into China.
<p><b>Both were executed.</b>
