Please don't unsub yet, not with this war going on. For one thing, Doug is being extra lenient, letting you blow off the quota. Also, you're one of the few sources of info and opinion I've got from the "other side" of this conflict. For example, your post was the first place that I read about Ibrahim Rugova, who was allegedly murdered, being alive and on Serb TV. I didn't see that in the local newspaper, if they printed it. I don't watch TV but I'll bet that U.S. TV didn't make a big issue of that fact either, as it sort of gives a "1984" air of unreality to whatever else they told us.

More "facts;" citizens ("targets") in Serbia are being told today that at least a half-dozen NATO aircraft have been shot down. In contrast, our always reliably honest U.S. media say only one NATO plane was lost. Until I heard about Rugova's miraculous resurrection I took the U.S. claims at face value and thought the Serb claims were nonsense. Now I wonder, will we ever know how many? They invaded Cambodia with 20,000 troops and lied to my face about it when I was a kid, yet I still unthinkingly swallow what the mass media feed me; damn, am I dense! So anyway, don't unsub.
