It got off to a bad start-

Then his closest associates were brutally murdered-

Then they came back to life-

Then he went to Belgrade and met with Milosevic-

But it turned out he had to go to Belgrade against his will-

And then he hadn't really gone to Belgrade after all-

And was a prisoner in his house in Pristina, which had become unburnt-

And unsurprisingly ended the ten days 'sapped' and - just in case he might turn out to be serious about peace - declared by "analysts" to be irrelevant

BUDAPEST, April 7 (Reuters) - Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic's proclamation of a unilateral Kosovo ceasefire has proved a flop not least because his chosen peace partner is a fading political star among ethnic Albanians, analysts say. etc etc
