This is sort of the view of oil as explained to me by members of the olde Mike Benedum gang in West Virginia during my days at Rattlesnake U. Oil's like a river that runs from up under the ground. Not very scientific, but, they made a lot of money. I particularly like the story about the blind man who could see oil gushing up from behind a fruit tree on his property or the one about drilling where an Indian rock carving of an arrow pointed.
