I think centering this debate on the relevance of race (or gender) on how many blacks or females were killed is off target. In a sense, all the victims were killed or wounded because blacks (and athletes and nazis) exist.

It's not the demographic variables of the victims which is important, but the reasons behind the shootings, and the two young men (and their co-conspirators) were out there killing because they have chosen to hang their hate on blacks and athletes. So, it is the message which led to the action which is important, and that message is steeped in racism. maggie coleman mscoleman at aol.com
