Actually not, Barkley. The territory that is today's Macedonia was Ottoman from 1878 (indeed from the 14-15th centuries) until 1912-3. Bulgaria held most of it only from between the first and second Balkan Wars (that is, from the winter of 1912/the spring of 1913 to the summer of 1913), pursuant to a secret Bulgarian-Serb treaty of 1912 that the Serbs repudiated in 1913.
