Oh yes, of course. My point was that sometimes the US targets countries or people that offer no, or minimal, direct economic benefit to the capitalist class in order to teach a lesson to the rest of the world. Yugoslavia, from what I have observed, is an example of this (Granada is another, more obvious one). Sometimes the world's headmaster must not spare the rod. Or to use an argument to support capital punishment, military force must be occasionally adopted as a deterrent to halt others with wise ideas about economic or political independence. (I'm kind of fascinated with who gets chosen as an example, and why.) Though the "domino theory" has lost all credibilty as a public justification for war, the capitalists still operate under the very dear principal that created it.
