Speaking of the Miami Herald (and SA), did anyone else see the hatchet job they did on Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez? Was this story in the print edition? I don't know much about Chavez but the guy wins landslides one week and next the Miami Herald calls him "a dictator at heart". The evidence? None in the article (except he wants to start some youth scouting programs) but there is plenty of guilt by association (i. e., Castro). (frontpage 8/9/99) I thought such kneejerk hatchet jobs were passe these days but what do I know.
