What Max wrote about health care was excellent. Too much of the left is concerned with its own specific problems rather than making common cause with the broad mass of people. I may be reading too much into Max, but he seems to think that such a program means compromising one's values. If I read him correctly, then I cannot agree. I cannot see why a roomfull of activists cannot agree on the need to fight for healthcare and against racism .... and militarism ... and a whole lot more, but it requires a programatic vision.
