Interested listers might check out CS's early 1960s novel _Going Away_ that recounts his leftist past via trip from West to East coast en route to leaving US for Europe. Along the way, Sigal encounters friends and comrades, victims of 1950s Red Scare and anti-left repression.
His other novels include __Weekend in Dinlock_ (about a northern England mining town), _Zone of the Interior_ (about the "'60s" - at the least the part in which LSD and R.D. Laing intersect) and _The Secret Defector_ (which concludes with his return to US).
