Haven Register, Connecticut GOP Chair Chris DePino "says it isn't
outside the realm of possibility" that Sen. Joe Lieberman (D) "could get
a cross-endorsement by the GOP when he runs for a third term" in 2000.
Lieberman "has had a strong year in the national spotlight, ratcheted
into even greater prominence by his role in the Senate's impeachment
trial" of Pres. Clinton."
