Alex, Check out George Seldes books e.g. Facts and Fascism and Tell the Truth and Run. Franz Thyssen_ I Paid Hitler_ is good. Suzie Poole _Who Financed Hitler_ is good too.(Lord) Alan Bullock's classic bio of goes into Hitler's ideological views at great length. The bio contains Hitler's speech to the industry club of Dusseldorf in 1933 which is where big capital decided throw their weight behind Hitler as a bulwark against communism and labor organizing in Germany.

If I remember, the coup attempt in the USA was tried in 1934. Gen. D. Macarthur and an elite group of business tycoons tried to get Smedley Butler as the "man on the white horse". Whatever Smedley was, he was a patriot and blew the whistle. FDR and his boys foiled the coup.

Also conspiracy monger Dave Emory is a good source of information, though you have to be careful with him. Emory is a bit of a crackpot but he knows his stuff, puts out good info and is generally quite progressive. Cab Calloway does it for me:

Don't go left Be Polite Move to the Right Doing the Reactionary

Close your eyes To where you bow And you'll be found Doing the Reactionary

All the best dictators do it The 400 love to sing it Ford and Morgan swing to it Hands up high Click your heels Doing the reactionary --"Doing The Reactionary", 1938
