The comments about sexism in the 60s may be overdoing it. Personal experience has to be worth something, however anecdotal. I'd say that in my college, SDS was pretty much run by the women. I'm talken '66 to '70+. The women's movement was in full swing. Guys didn't get away with nuttin'.
