I'm curious to know what the LBOers would spend the budget surplus on, if they had a chance to direct national economic policy. If you were dealing the cards what would you suggest be done with the surplus and why?
Has anyone considered the American economy of 1917 as opposed to today. I don't think anyone here is hitching up old Frank to go to town, or sending the relatives a postcard to let them know your visting next Sunday a whole 10 miles away.
