The problem with the Race Traitor school of thought is that it assumes that simply renouncing one's "whiteness" contributes in any way towards securing social justice for people of color. It doesn't, and comes across as nothing but a highbrow variation on the "wigger" theme that William Wimsatt deals with in Bomb the Suburbs.
