I'll be the first to admit that I know little or nothing about the British labor movement. I think they spell labor, different than we do. Labour, or somthing quaint like that.
Now for what I do know. Arthur Scargill is the president of the British mine workers union. George Will once described him as a "slimy reptilian" on Sunday morning TV and in his nationally syndicated newspaper column. I was outraged by Will's remarks. I mean you don't talk about the president of a mine workers union in that way. Even Tony Boyle got more respect than poor Arthur.
Ok, who is Tony Monk? Tell us a little about him. I have been told that there is more than one labor confederation in Britian, what's that all about? What are the British Steelworkers like. Are they all doing the full monte?
