What a timely introduction to part one of a series on art and revolution
that I will be posting later today, where I will focus in on abstract
expressionism, the Trotskyist movement, and the cold war. Much of the
information is gleaned from Serge Guilbaut's masterpiece, "How New York
Stole the Idea of Modern Art." I also plan to talk a bit about Stravinsky
versus Shostakovitch and T.S. Eliot versus Dos Passos if time and space
permits.

>Central Intelligence Agency, in its ongoing struggle against 'soviet-
>inspired' socialist realism. One of the more curious chapters in the
>history of the Cold War.
