Even if one grants this group the benefit of doubt that they are sincere, their efforts play unwittingly into the hands of the subtle reactionary strategy of "divide and rule." This is typical counter-revolutionary tact: to single out a visible component to attack the whole system. All the goals of this group can be accommodated with the current potitical structure. Group like this are less interest in reform than they are in power through reform. The direct penalty of a Western style mutlipaty democracy in China is social instability and regressiveness, not to mention national security threats from Western inspired dismemberment. What China needs is a united front of the left under the leadership of the CCP until international efforts to topple China has been totally defeated.
